He publishes a wide selection of books and videos about Huna, the philosophy and way of life with the spirit of Aloha, the attitude of love and peace for which Polynesia and Hawaiian Islands are famous.
Author and designer of Search For Pele, a game on CD-ROM based on the legends, language and geography of the Big Island of Hawaii, Dr. King is also an author of books sold all over the world such as Dangerous Journeys, a story that teaches how to be an urban shaman, and he is known also for how he can render the presentation of legends in an absolutely fascinating manner.
He gives courses, workshops and conferences all around the world to teach and share this philospophy.
In his background we find also an experience of life and work in Africa where he directed communities, founded and administered schools, as well as nutritional, social and agricultural programs. For the services he rendered to the African people the President of Senegal, Leopold Sedar Senghor, awarded him the medal of the National Grand Order of Senegal.
Today he teaches people how to use shaman practices and spiritual healing and uses his knowledge to help others discover their own creative power.
What is Huna Shamanism?
The following text is taken from www.huna.it
Huna Shamanism doesn't belong to a sect and is not a religion. It is more an art than can be practiced effectively alone or in groups. It is a pragmatic art.
Huna Shamanism is easy to learn and to apply in daily life. Time and exercise are necessary in order to be able to utilise all its aspects to the maximum. Its application has no limits: from home, to work, school, holidays, awake or sleeping.
Huna is to live a specific attitude in which we can model every day of our life with love, respect and infinite creative potential. Huna is a state of consciousness linked to the dream of life, capable of having extraordinary "magical" effects in practical daily life.
Huna means to put body and mind into play together and its nature is such that in helping others we help ourselves, and while we transform the world around us we transform ourselves.
