Dr. Korotkov is also associate editor of the journal "Consciousness and physical reality" where he publishes articles in Russian and English.

At the 5 th Congress of the International Union of Medicine and Applied Biotechnology in Curitiba, Brazil, Dr. Korotkov was elected president of IUMAB by the world's leading researchers.

Thanks to the skills of Dr. Korotkov an innovation was born: the technology of Computer Base Gas Discharge Visualization, that is based on the well-known Kirlian effect. This is the first tool, that allows us to visualize the distribution of the human energy field, and that makes it easily to riproduce and print at a low cost.

He has developed a device that uses the technology of Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV). Through a special system of electrodes, it creates a high-intensity electric field around an object, and produces a gas discharge, whose glow can be detected and measured. It is a discharge that appears regardless of the type of object, and consequently experience an experimental state that can virtually "shine" every object, including metals, stones, and plants, and every biological organism changes this glow according to its particular characteristics, leading to changes in brightness, the size and color.

The discharge does reveale information that cannot be recorded with other methods, and allows to detect smallest changes. Factors that contribute to forming the glow emitted by the object are the electrical properties, such as the emission characteristics of the object, the evaporation of gas, and the exchange of energy with the environment. Any attempt to link the phenomenon to other factors such as the only sweat conductivity alone or as a result of in-depth analysis, proved to be incorrect.

In two years, 100 devices were distributed. Application programs of GDV technology are developed in medicine and sports with the blessing of the Russian Ministry of Health. Important Russian medical universities and research centers are participating to the program. The GDV Camera is ready for use within minutes after installation. The software included is very helpful for processing and analyzing of the images. Despite this, it needs a little practice and experience to read the health information that are encoded in the Aura.

Application for advanced diagnostics in complementary and alternative medicine

Every physical organ, every function of the body and mind has a definite effect on the human aura. By reading the aura around the fingers it is possible to reveal dysfunctions of the organs, long before obvious symptoms are found. It is possible then to investigate on the health and psycho-emotional status of a person, whether at a given moment, and in its evolution over time.
