Hiroshi Doi

hiroshi-doi

The Master Hiroshi Doi is the founder of Gendai Reiki Ho and lives in Ashiya, a small town near Osaka in Japan. Doi Sensei ("Sensei" in Japanese means Master) is member of the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai, the school founded by Mikao Usui.
Hiroshi Doi has studied many styles of Western Reiki and he was taught in the Gakkai school by Mrs Koyama, the first lady elected president of the Gakkai (Mrs Koyama was instructed by Taketomi Sensei, the direct student of Usui).

It's due to the completeness of his knowledge of Reiki and his various expressions that Hiroshi Doi is considered one of the most important Reiki Masters in the world. What impresses most who meets Doi Sensei is his simplicity. If you do a quick internet research of his images you will find mostly a picture where he is wearing a suit and tie, with a serious and almost stern expression. No image worst than this to identify him. When you meet him you find that he has nothing of the great untouchable Master; but he presents an absolutely normal aspect.

The Gendai Reiki Ho: from Hiroshi Doi...

The Gendai Reiki Ho (Ho in Japanese means method) is a system for spiritual growth and for the well-being of mind and body. Having studied both the Reiki Ryoho (traditional Japanese Reiki method) and the Western Reiki system (usually known as Reiki Usui) I have organized the techniques of both styles, so Reiki can be practiced in everyday life.

After the publication of the book Iyashino Gendai Reikiho, the Gendai Reiki method has acquired a certain popularity. I practice the method exclusively for my own well-being and I continue to feel the benefits. So, I teach only in the city where I live, Ashiya (Osaka, Japan) and I don't intend to spread the Gendai Reiki-ho or to offer seminars in all parts of the world. However, I don't keep secret the techniques of the method from whoever asks me.

The motto of the Gendai Reikiho

The motto of the Gendai method is:

Ayashiku-nai, okashiku-nai, muzukashiku-nai.

That is:

1 Ayashiku-nai, nothing suspicious

2 Okashiku-nai, nothing unusual

3 Muzukashiku-nai, nothing difficult

The Gendai method has nothing to do with mystery, nor with irrationality, and doesn't seek to complicate the practice of Reiki.

All Reiki Masters and Groups should walk together the way shown by Usui Sensei, sharing at the same time the benefits in daily life. The Gendai Reiki is only one of the many ways of doing it.
It doesn't matter how marvellous the energy of a Master is, if he is not able to find peace every day of his life. If he doesn't grow spiritually, he is not really experiencing the benefits of Reiki.

Usui Sensei said:

The Reiki is Ki and Light and permeates all the Universe.

The Reiki energy is a vibration that leads all towards Harmony. If we are able to feel its vibration or not, it depends on our reception system, admitting that it exists inside ourselves. The techniques of Gendai Reiki-ho are defined as auto-purification and personal improvement techniques. Practicing consciously, we will form a reception system that, with time, will lead us into resonance with the frequency of Reiki. The learning of the techniques or their correct employment only, is not the final goal of the Gendai Reiki-ho. The importance is to install a system of reception and to be in resonance with Reiki.
