Estrella Apolonia
Estrella Apolonia is a native of the lineage of the descendants of Mexican Indians and Chichimeca Karankawa. She is a healer of the Curandero. She received the honorary title of Priestess or Teopxque (Xicanindia) from an Elder, also spiritual family member of Turtle Island. Estrella was also influenced by the knowledge of her mother as an herbalist.
For over 30 years she has worked in social service management of Temezcalli (Mexican steam bath) in prisons, schools and recovery centers for addiction. In the late 70's was started at the Aztec Dance. About twenty years ago she has changed her middle name Ann to Apolonia (name of her great-grandmother).
For a period of her life he received spiritual help from the Lakota people and was introduced to their traditions and ceremonies. In 1980 she participated in some stages of the Long Walk (San Francisco to Washington). Later she moved with her youngest daughter to Taos in New Mexico where she currently resides.
Despite the cultural conservative education, Estrella sees herself as a co-existing spirit on the "Terrestrial Mothership", in a journey of awareness to share with others. During the last years she has developed the ability to astral travel, for sending prayers to the Mother Earth and to celestial spheres, for opening portals, and for the creation of spiritual relationships. The invitation to visit Europe is a response to this call.
Estrella is extremely grateful for the knowledge from oral tradition and the benevolence of the spirits that have brought us here in this place at the right time. "We have been taught, that in this life there are no coincidences, especially for those of us who will meet. The sacred teachings and rituals also serve to build relationships and to align with forces that work for life."
Prayers, ceremonies, rituals of purification, work with plants, dream trips, creativity, singing, dancing, fasting and prophecying are some of the activities carried out by Estrella. She is aligned with the female power represented by the Mother Earth, known as Tonantzin (Azteca) or Our Mother.
Some people refer to Estrella as Tlamatini, Native American custodian of wisdom, that is someone who knows and teaches the ancient traditions and rituals, and that is specialized in sacred art and in dance. For over thirty years she worked in contact with the indigenous spiritual leaders of North, Central and South America to save, heal and honor the life, and to work for reconciliation, forgiveness, peace and harmony of all living beings.
On spiritual weekends, Estrella leads in two days ceremonies and initiations, that help to connect with the spirit's world and the spiritual self. Healing, sweat lodge or purification, rites of passage and offers are spiritual ceremonies of unity, that include the use of drums, songs, dances and sacred rituals of love, peace, spiritual growth and unification.
